• Explain what the chain of survival is and levels of consciousness.
• Describe how to identify and deal with a choking casualty.

Our online sessions are taught by expert trainers with many years of practical experience. We use Zoom video software and advanced online classroom technology to ensure that our live online lessons are as engaging and interactive as our in-person sessions.

Investing in your organisation’s trainers is essential if you wish to provide staff with the first-class Basic Life Support training that is necessary to prevent injuries, or even prosecution.

How does it work?

Session 1 – One of our experienced First Aid trainers will visit your site and deliver a full-day practical including the Emergency First Aid at Work award. This will be delivered one to one or one to two or more depending on how many people are based at site.

Session 2 – Attend a Virtual Classroom (9.30am – 4.30pm) for a day of learning to teach and present.

Session 3 – Final session where you and the other learners will deliver a 20 minute micro-teach on one of the key areas of Basic Life Support.

The role and responsibilities of a certified Basic Life Support trainer include:

  • Demonstration and simulation by the teacher to show safe practice.
  • Ensuring learners practice safely.
  • Ensure that you have observed all learners completing each skill safely.
  • The teacher must be in control of the class and be able to stop unsafe practice immediately.
  • Obtain completed course evaluation forms for feedback.
  • Issue certificates and keep copies in staff training files.
  • Update your own learning regularly.
  • Be aware of changes in legislation and practice.

Our expert trainers have many years of practical experience and provide engaging and interactive live training sessions that are trusted by some of the largest healthcare organisations in this country.

Basic Life Support: Train the Trainer

If you work in health or social care then your role, you may find yourself faced with potentially life-threatening situations. Organisations in the health and social care sector benefit from in-house Basic Life Support trainers who can provide staff with regular, expert advice and training in how to react appropriately in emergency and potentially life-threatening situations.

Without proper training, it is easy for both staff and patients to be harmed during these emergency situations. To provide safe and effective training, the trainer themselves must receive up-to-date, professional training in Basic Life Support techniques and equipment.

Here at Care Business Associate Training, we provide a comprehensive 3-day Basic Life Support Train The Trainer course. Our course combines both online learning and practical, face-to-face sessions to equip trainers with the theory, practical experience, and confidence they require to competently train staff in Basic Life Support.
