Clinical courses form a major part of our Adult Health Care provision. In addition to those mentioned above, CBAT runs a wide range of training, including wound care management, ECG, immunisation/vaccination and end of life care.
In particular, we provide a Care Home Advanced Practitioner (CHAP) programme. This is designed to up skill senior staff to develop minor clinical and management skills to assist your nursing team. CHAP is a six-week blend of eLearning and practical classroom sessions, designed to meet the challenges caused by the UK’s chronic nurse shortages.
In addition to CHAP, CBAT also offer tuition in the awareness of chronic diseases such as diabetes, dementia and Parkinson’s and the management of asthma, heart disease and high blood pressure.

Our Training
We cover the important issue of Health and Safety, including First Aid courses, with a comprehensive programme, providing everything from three days on First Aid at Work to a half day session on Fire Awareness. CBAT is also committed to the spread of best practice through our programme on workforce development. This includes infection prevention control and ensuring dignity in care.
Mental Health Care training is also provided with awareness courses in a number of conditions including autism, bipolar and personality disorder.
