Paul Blane Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Beginning his career as a Care Worker at the age of 17, Paul quickly rose up through the ranks to be one of the UK’s youngest care managers by the age of 21. After a few successful years at the head of a small group of Residential Care Homes for the elderly, Paul went on to become Director of Operations for a national domiciliary provider. At 27, Paul took on the role of Managing Director and then owner of SVL Care which comprised of Care Homes as well as beginning his career in Education as a senior lecturer.

At the age of 45, he is now the co-founder of Care Business Associate Training, one of the largest educational providers in Health & Social Care, founder and creator of eCompetency Ltd which was recently sold to the Access Group and still manages SVL Care Homes.

During the pandemic, Paul also started up the Health & Social Care Club which has thousands of members and runs formative rooms on a weekly basis to its audience. You will also find Paul speaking at national conferences throughout the UK,  discussing management and leadership topics.

Elaine Warner Managing Director

During Elaine’s career in social care, spanning 30 years, Elaine has spent a considerable length of time working in residential children’s homes with children and young people with emotional, social, behavioural difficulties. After several years, Elaine had a change of career and worked as a Project Co-ordinator for a large social care charity and quickly became Volunteer Co-ordinator for the whole Organisation working with people aged 16+ and adults with homeless issues, drug and alcohol issues, ex-offenders and people with physical and learning disabilities. This is where Elaine’s passion for training started.

Elaine has spent 15+ years designing and delivering bespoke training courses for staff and volunteers who work in social care from small organisations to local authorities and prides herself on being customer and client focused, as well as delivering training to foster carers. It is through this training that Elaine met our CEO Paul Blane, Elaine is now enjoying a flourishing career as Managing Director for CBAT and her role now incorporates the quality assurance for the whole Organisation, managing projects and tendering for new business, whilst still keeping her hand in delivering training.

With an education in business and finance from John Moores University, Laura is a qualified bookkeeper with extensive experience in financial management. Having successfully owned and operated her own business for a decade, she possesses a deep understanding of accounting and financial forecasting. Currently, Laura is entrusted with overseeing CBAT’s finances, ensuring robust cash flow and financial stability. Her strong communication skills allow her to address financial inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring smooth interactions with clients and internal staff. Laura’s professional journey has been enriched by diverse experiences in legal, insurance, and retail industries, which have equipped her with adaptable and effective collaboration skills, which she applies to her role as CBAT’s Finance Director daily.

Katy Allen Office Manager

Katy’s role at CBAT is the Office Manager, where she is responsible for all aspects of the Administration process within the business. As Office Manager, Katy works closely with all departments within CBAT and liaises directly with our clients to ensure we provide them with the highest level of service.

Previous experience in Sales and Account Management has allowed Katy to become a hard-working, ambitious individual with a drive to always perform to the highest standard. Katy uses her past experience of being an Office Manager to ensure responsibility of the everyday running of the business, and building meaningful relationships with the clients and trainers.

Rebecca Blane Head of Accounts

At CBAT, Rebecca’s role involves taking care of clients, monitoring their expenditures, and creating a 12-month Training calendar for them. She consistently sends out essential reports to clients and ensures they have the appropriate training in place, aligning with their policies.

Rebecca’s life accomplishments reflect her remarkable journey from a care assistant at the age of 19, gradually advancing to the position of deputy manager by the age of 36. She played a pivotal role in establishing Care Business Associate Training, initially joining as an administrator and progressively ascending to the head of accounts for their clients.

Andrew Duckworth Head of Training

Here at CBAT , Andy is the Head of Training and Clinical, where he fosters and maintains UK wide client relationships, manages existing and upcoming projects and develops evidence based resources for all our training services. Andy is also in charge of recruiting and managing all of our expert industry and clinical trainers.

Andy is a knowledgeable and dedicated nursing professional with active adult nursing registration, and has experience in many areas of nursing and management. Andy has gained his broad experience working within the UK NHS and a number of National and global private healthcare organisations. Andy is enthusiastic about nursing compliance and governance, as well as continue professional development, and utilises evidence-based practice to ensure all our training sessions are delivered at a high standard.

As the Head of Marketing at CBAT, Robyn delivers effective and engaging marketing campaigns that significantly enhance CBAT’s brand visibility. By analysing market trends and customer preferences, Robyn manages all CBAT’s Social Media’s and develops highly effective, targeted marketing campaigns. With a strong focus on nurturing company partnerships and client relationships, Robyn’s networking enables her to attract new clients and forge valuable collaborations.

Robyn holds a First Class degree in Social Sciences and boasts a wealth of experience in diverse fields, including customer service, youth, and charity work. Leveraging her versatile skill set, she is dedicated to providing exceptional services to one of the leading educational providers in Health & Social Care, Care Business Associate Training.
