We provide training for all the major Health and Care sectors, including management development.
Adult Social Care demands a wide range of skills and competencies. Person-centered care planning, chronic disease awareness and management are all available in our clinical course programme which also includes training on illness such as dementia, diabetes and stroke. Our mental health awareness courses explain conditions such as autism, personality disorder and being bipolar.
In addition CBAT provides a Care Home Advanced Practitioner (CHAP) programme. This is designed to upskill senior staff to develop minor clinical and management skills to assist your nursing team. CHAP is a six week blend of eLearning and practical classroom sessions, designed to meet the challenges caused by the UK’s chronic nurse shortages.
Management
The role of strong and effective management is central to successful adult care provision. CBAT has a range of short courses addressing key management and leadership issues including team building, assertiveness, staff supervision, coaching and grievance disciplinary procedures.
Our Training
Our Adult Social Care training is based on best practice which underpins our teaching on subjects such as diet and nutrition, dignity in care, infection prevention control, moving and handling and documentation and record keeping. Our workforce development programme also includes training in challenging and distressed behaviour and safeguarding children.
