Overview of Course
This session provides an opportunity for Safeguarding Leads to revisit and refresh their knowledge, helping to further enhance their confidence and effectiveness in the role.
It will review the key areas of responsibility for Safeguarding Leads and explore how staff can be better supported. The session will also consider ways to strengthen the safeguarding culture at site, including both challenges and opportunities.
Key safeguarding concepts will be revisited, including contextual safeguarding, extra-familial safeguarding, and transitional safeguarding.
In addition, the session will provide updates on relevant legislation, guidance, and policy changes. It will also revisit how to respond appropriately to reports of abuse and outline the correct processes to follow.
