Those enrolled receive high quality e-learning materials on the subjects they have chosen, to be studied at home. An online assessment must be passed before delegates can progress to the next stage.
The Masterclass Approach
CBAT then deliver a full day’s training for your team in your setting, where their competency will be tested in relevant areas.
Once the session has been completed, each attendee will be given a Competency Document on the chosen topics. This must be completed and signed off by a senior member of their team within four weeks of the classroom session, to show that all learned practical skills are being completed successfully within the work setting.

On enrolment, for ultimate flexibility, the Masterclass organiser can choose any three subjects from the following:
- Moving and Handling
- Safeguarding
- MCA & Dols
- Infection Control
- Health and Safety
- Documentation and Record Keeping
- Medication
- Fire Awareness
- Basic Life Support
Their choice will determine the content of the e-learning programme and training day that follows.
Benefits of Master Classes
The careful design of the Masterclass programme gives care providers ultimate flexibility in their staff’s development. With the potential to combine different topics for each delegate, you can create a totally bespoke programme for your team. And this can be completed with maximum efficiency, with all three courses delivered within a single day’s training.
Employers will have full online access to training records and will be able to track the progress of their delegates, confirmed by their final competency assessment – a full 360 view with the evidence to back it up. This way, the Masterclass delivers a consistent quality of training throughout, plus the all-important compliance with the Care Quality Commission.
Please note: The Masterclass is only available for those who have experience of Health and Social Care. If staff lack such experience, we recommend they attend a full day on Moving and Handling and a further half-day in each of the other subjects, as per the Skills for Care and Health guidelines.
